Media entertainment and advertising

Keep content rights, campaign approvals and production spending connected to each assignment.

Identify the business role

A producer, publisher, advertising agency, influencer manager and distribution platform have different contractual responsibilities. Record who commissions, owns, approves and distributes the material, including the intended territory and media.

Build a rights and approval file

Retain creator agreements, music or footage licences, talent permissions and client approvals. Check whether the permitted use covers the actual campaign duration and channels. Payment for production should not be treated as proof of every necessary right.

Support advertising claims

Keep evidence for factual claims and the basis of endorsements. Review the applicable consumer-protection guidance and any product-sector restrictions. A disclaimer should not be used as a substitute for a supportable main claim.

Reconcile the project

  • Production budgets and approved change orders.
  • Talent, vendor and freelancer payment records.
  • Media spend, client advances and agency fees.
  • Royalty, licence and distribution statements.
  • Employee, premises and audience-data responsibilities.

A practical example

A short music licence for a social campaign may not cover later television use or an extended term. Review the new use before reusing the finished asset.

Scope of coordination

Kosha can organise contracts, accounting evidence and the compliance worklist. Copyright opinions, content certification, broadcast permissions and specialised media-law advice require appropriately qualified providers. No clearance is implied by an administrative review.

Close the campaign with a usable record

Keep the approved creative version, release instruction and final delivery list together. Identify the channels, dates and territories actually used, with any requested changes recorded separately. This lets a later extension start from the released campaign rather than an early draft or an unaccepted proposal.

For example, an agency may pay a media platform from a client advance while production invoices arrive after the campaign ends. Reconcile the advance, platform statements, supplier invoices, agency fee and remaining balance separately. Unused budget and a vendor credit awaiting settlement should remain visible instead of disappearing into a single project margin figure.

Bookkeeping and monthly-close support can help connect these project records to the accounts. Bring the agreed budget, change approvals and settlement statements, with disputed amounts identified.

Use commercial contract review when commissioning or extending the assignment. Provide the proposed deliverables, rights documents, approval responsibilities and cancellation terms so the contractual questions can be scoped against the intended campaign.
