GST and indirect tax

Connect GST registration, invoicing, returns and reconciliations to the transactions your business actually makes.

Start with the supply, then the reporting

GST work depends on what is supplied, by whom, to whom and where. A portal task should follow that analysis rather than substitute for it. We separate recurring return work from classification advice, refund claims and disputes.

A consistent record across systems

Sales registers, purchase records, payment records and portal information should be reconcilable. We define the GSTINs, periods, transaction volume and exceptions covered by the engagement.

Choose support for the task ahead

A recurring filing assignment and an advisory opinion have different inputs and outputs. If a transaction question is holding up a return or claim, identify it in the brief so its assessment and implementation can be coordinated.

Prepare your initial brief

Describe the business activity, operating states, number of registrations and periods involved. Explain whether you need recurring preparation, a one-off assessment or a response to an authority. For an existing problem, identify the affected transaction stream and the records available rather than sending only a net difference.

The written scope should identify who supplies the records, resolves factual queries, approves the working and handles payments. Detailed invoices and taxpayer records can be exchanged through the agreed secure channel after the assignment is defined.
