Work and handover

We assemble the process and premises information, map the required technical inputs and coordinate the application record with the responsible professionals. Changes to capacity or operations are tracked against the existing approval position.

Agree a dated description of the existing installation and proposed project before assembling the application pack. Identify the operator, project team and professionals supplying each technical input. The coordination register links outstanding drawings, factual confirmations and application dependencies to named owners, making it clear which information is ready and which remains provisional.

Check that the process description, equipment schedule and layout refer to the same project revision. Retain the source of capacity, power and workforce figures rather than copying estimates between forms without confirmation. Keep earlier approvals and subsequent amendments together so the team can compare the proposed configuration with the documented baseline.

A point to resolve early

A production expansion can change the approval facts without creating a new company. Review the operating change before assuming the original file remains sufficient.

For an expansion, show the machinery retained, replaced and added, together with the changed process description supplied by the project team. Identify differences for the responsible professionals to assess. A revised internal asset list does not itself establish that the approval records cover the new configuration or that technical conditions have been satisfied.

Scope and authority process

Technical plans, environmental work and independent safety reviews are separate deliverables.

The written engagement identifies the location, authority, application stage and fees. Government charges and third-party costs are addressed separately; authority approval is not guaranteed.

The handover records the application version, supporting technical documents, submission references and authority queries. Where a decision is issued, retain its conditions and assign responsibility for any follow-up evidence. Coordination does not confirm the physical installation or certify safe operation; those conclusions require the separately agreed technical work.
