Approach and deliverables
We help assemble the financial position, liabilities and corporate history for review with the appointed insolvency professional and legal advisers. Voluntary liquidation is a formal process with eligibility and professional-role requirements.
Our coordination scope can include a document index, asset and creditor reconciliation, stakeholder communication records and a closure-obligation tracker. The liquidator performs the statutory functions of that office.
Begin with a dated information pack showing the financial position and the source of each schedule. Coordinate information requests with the appointed professionals, keeping their decisions separate from administrative tracking. The action register should identify who is responsible for each document and where the final version is held.
Records to prepare
- Financial statements and solvency-related evidence
- Asset, creditor and employee schedules
- Corporate approvals and litigation details
- Tax records and claims correspondence
Reconcile creditor and asset schedules to the accounts and identify contingent or disputed items separately. Include guarantees, deposits, employee balances and pending tax correspondence. Missing information should remain visible to the professional assessing the position.
A practical example
An entity with assets to realise and distribute may require a different closure analysis from an inactive entity seeking strike-off. Establish the financial facts before selecting the route.
For example, a receivable described as recoverable in the accounts may have been disputed by the customer. Supply the contract, correspondence and subsequent receipts so the responsible professional can assess it. Do not present an accounting label as conclusive evidence of realisable value.
Scope and responsibilities
We do not act as liquidator unless a separately appointed, eligible professional undertakes that role. Current IBBI regulations, claims and authority processes determine the sequence and duration.
The proposal specifies the entities, periods, filings and coordination included. Client approval of factual statements and continuing operational responsibilities is recorded before implementation.
The coordination handover can include reconciled schedules, the request-response log and outstanding matters assigned to owners. Distribution decisions, statutory reports and other liquidator functions remain with the appointed professional. Administrative completion is not represented as completion of the formal process.
