Assessment and deliverables
We map the project’s location, capacity, ownership and connection arrangement to the responsible authorities. Electrical safety inspection, utility connection and project-specific permissions are tracked separately.
The deliverable is an approval-dependency register, document checklist and commissioning readiness file. Technical drawings and certificates are obtained from the responsible engineers rather than recreated from incomplete administrative records.
Establish a dated project baseline covering the site, installation capacity, equipment and connection arrangement. Use a dependency register to show which documents are needed before each planned project milestone, with an owner for engineering inputs and authority correspondence.
Documents to prepare
- Project layout and single-line diagrams
- Load, generation or storage specifications
- Land, utility and connection correspondence
- Engineer certificates and existing inspection reports
Check that drawings, equipment schedules and utility correspondence describe the same project revision. Preserve superseded drawings for traceability while clearly identifying the current submission set; unresolved capacity or layout differences should remain visible in the gap register.
A practical example
An expansion that changes electrical capacity should be checked against the existing installation approval and utility arrangement before commissioning new equipment.
Where a project adds generation or storage to an existing installation, compare the proposed configuration with the documents already held. A changed design should be routed back to the responsible engineer and connection coordinator before the administrative file is marked ready.
Scope and responsibilities
This service does not provide engineering design or certify installation safety. Statutory inspection and technical sign-off remain with the authorised bodies and professionals; land and environmental permissions may require separate workstreams.
The engagement letter records the sites or products covered, filing assistance, query support and fees. You approve the factual application details and retain responsibility for ongoing operations.
The handover records submissions, inspection correspondence, issued documents and outstanding conditions separately. Commissioning decisions stay with the responsible technical and authorised parties; the coordination file supports those decisions with traceable evidence and named follow-up owners.
